Alessandro & Sara | A Timeless Wedding: From Santa Maria del Riposo to Tenuta il Possesso
Alessandro e Sara’s wedding was a sensory journey through the medieval atmosphere of Bracciano and the poetic nature of Trevignano Romano. It is a narrative that found its highest expression in the golden light reflecting off the lake and the majesty of the ancient olive trees at Tenuta il Possesso.
Preparations in the Village: The Soul of Bracciano
The anticipation began among the historic alleys of Bracciano. Alessandro and Sara chose the refined hospitality of two B&Bs within the village: a choice that allowed me to breathe in and photograph the most authentic essence of the place. The light filtering through the windows of the ancient buildings gave the preparations a vintage feel and a profound intimacy, documenting the moments that preceded their first look.
The “I Do” at Santa Maria del Riposo
The “I do” was shared in the evocative setting of Santa Maria del Riposo. This church, with its intimate yet solemn character, provided the perfect backdrop for an intense and moving exchange of vows. Upon leaving, after the first shots among the village’s historic architecture, we let the breeze guide us toward the lakeshore to begin the couple’s portrait session.
Couple Session: Between the Lake and Olive Groves
The journey to the venue became an integral part of the photographic narrative. We chose the Trevignano Romano side for a session with an editorial flair: first along the lakeshore, where water reflections created plays of pure light, and finally among the rows of olive trees at Tenuta il Possesso. It was here, amidst the silver-green of the ancient trees, that the connection between Alessandro and Sara revealed itself in all its natural beauty.
The Reception: A Lakeside Aperitif and the Magic of the Olive Tree
The reception at Tenuta il Possesso opened with a panoramic sunset aperitif. The evening continued with dinner and an unforgettable final moment: the cake cutting under a magnificent ancient olive tree. Masterfully lit, the tree became the symbol of their union—a deep root embracing the future. The party then erupted into pure energy, transforming the estate into the stage for a celebration that knew no end.
