The Breath of the Sea: Grace & Ethan’s Barefoot Elopement in Sabaudia
There are places where nature dictates its own rhythm, and the coastline of Sabaudia is undoubtedly one of them. Defined by its iconic coastal dunes and a beach that seems to stretch into infinity, it provided the perfect backdrop for Grace and Ethan’s elopement. An intimate wedding, experienced barefoot on the sand, dreamed of and brought to life through the creative vision of wedding planner Sara Tusset.
A Barefoot “I Do” Among the Dunes
Far from protocols and grand receptions, Grace and Ethan chose the path of absolute simplicity. A ‘barefoot wedding’ is more than just a style; it is a way to experience one’s wedding day in total connection with the environment. Amidst the myrtle bushes and the golden sand of the Sabaudia dunes, the couple exchanged their vows as the sun began to dip toward the horizon, casting a warm glow that enveloped every moment.
Sara Tusset’s Aesthetic in a Wild Setting
The challenge in such a minimalist elopement is to make every detail feel precious. Under the direction of Sara Tusset, every element was curated to blend seamlessly with the ‘wild’ character of the coastline: from the organic tones of the décor to the choice of lightweight fabrics that danced in the wind. Daniele Raffaelli’s photography followed this flow, seeking to capture not only the beauty of the couple but the vibrant energy of a day where the sea was the only witness.
In the Shadow of Mount Circeo
With the legendary silhouette of Mount Circeo watching from a distance, the photo session continued along the shoreline. Grace and Ethan walked, ran, and laughed amidst sea-smoothed driftwood and dune grass, gifting me with shots of disarming naturalness. This is the magic of Sabaudia: a place that compels you to be your true self, stripping away the superfluous to leave room for nothing but love.
