La Dolce Vita Revisited: An Elegant Celebration at Sant’Alessio and Villa Appia Antica

Beyond the Clouds: Tommaso & Gloria’s Roman Dream at Villa Appia Antica

There are days when emotion is palpable, not just in the eyes of those present, but in the very air itself. Tommaso and Gloria’s wedding was a harmonious dance between anticipation and wonder—an event where the beauty of Rome and the meticulous care of wedding planner Sara Tusset transformed an uncertain sky into the most magical setting one could ever desire.

The Wait: Elegance within the Walls of Villa Appia Antica

The day began amidst the manicured gardens and refined rooms of Villa Appia Antica. It was here that Gloria experienced her preparation, surrounded by an atmosphere of suspended calm. Choosing this location for the ‘getting ready’ phase allowed every detail to shine—from the veil to the natural light streaming through the large windows—creating a prologue of pure elegance before the big step.

Signature Portraits: Between the Janiculum and the Ancient Appian Way

After the ceremony, we allowed ourselves to be guided by ‘La Grande Bellezza’. We reached the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, the famous ‘Fontanone’ on the Janiculum Hill, to capture the newlyweds’ joy with the city of Rome sprawling at their feet. The session continued along the ancient cobblestones of the Appian Way, where the soft light of a sun peeking through the clouds gifted us with shots full of poetry and romance—celebrating a love that fears no storm.

The Celebration: A Simply Perfect Evening

The return to Villa Appia Antica marked the beginning of an unforgettable evening. Under the impeccable direction of Sara Tusset, the villa came alive with lights and toasts. The weather, which had seemed so uncertain in the morning, gave way to a crisp and clear evening, allowing the festivities to flow through laughter, embraces, and dancing in the park.

Daniele Raffaelli’s photography documented exactly this: the transformation of tension into pure happiness, in a wedding where every piece—from the logistics to the emotions—fell perfectly into place, making everything, quite simply, perfect.
